Scaling up our commitment to equity in health: learnings, challenges and new directions

Abstract

Since its founding in 2002, the International Journal for Equity in Health (IJEqH) has been committed to showcasing knowledge that expresses the complex causes and manifestations of inequity [1]. The IJEqH has served as a global forum for original, rigorous, and open-access science aimed at sharing sound research, exposing new findings produced worldwide, and devoted to understanding and reducing health inequities within and across countries. In this endeavor, Prof Daniel Maceira and Dr Pablo Gaitán-Rossi joined Dr Ana Lorena Ruano in the senior editorial board in 2024 as Editors-in-Chief. We wish to reaffirm and update the journal’s mission and editorial direction.
